Hey ho and off we go!

Well I've burned out the belt on my sewing machine. If you're up this way I know a lovely man in Norwich who has it all fixed for me already and I'll happily share his phone number with you because he's so honest and reliable!
But before the machine gave up the ghost I managed to build a bit of stock for the fair!
and hopefully enough to open my new online store before the end of this month too!
I always underestimate the time it takes to do all the bagging and tagging.
Brooch cards are so fiddly, but I love any excuse to use pinking shears. I have never lost the wonder of using scissors that give you crinkly edges like jam tart pastry! And I have my granny's shears so they are the same ones that I first used to make crinkly landscape pictures with her fabric scraps!
All the puppies, dogs and owls were labelled up just like the nice man at Trading Standards told me to. If you are selling anything that might reasonably be interpreted as a toy (even if you don't think it is one) then I really do recommend getting in touch with your local team. Mine were so helpful.
All packed and stacked and ready to be loaded...
a bit undignified but needs must!
And as it was time to drive away the black clouds opened and the stormy wind and rain followed us on our short drive to the coast and stayed there all day!!
More on the fair tomorrow. Lots of scrummy pictures and lovely people for you to meet! But now I must unpack and try to find the house under the accumulated piles of stuff and laundry and homework (sorry Mrs lovely Teacher - we've got a bit behind!) and I suppose I ought to go food shopping..... Back soon! t.xx

What a tremendously wantable haul of eye-catching stitchiness! You certainly pulled your finger out for all your talk of procrastination!!
I can't get the hang of using my pinking shears, they always get stuck...maybe I need lessons....
What a load of lovely stuff!! The "undignified" photo made me laugh. Oh, and thank you for the loveliest of comments on my last post. Cathy x

stunning cushions and really good advice on the labelling, especially after what happened in the USA about standards for children's goods

Oh I so wanted to come to this fair but my daughter had ballet. Are they doing another? I'll have to get that chap's number off you too although my machine is more likely to seize up through misuse than anything else! Ruth (Kittythimble)

Now I could say something very rude about the upturned dog.. but it would not do amongst our gentile folk.. but something to do with your hoard of loveliness being the dog's ........

Oh dear.. shall I go now!

Hope it was a lot of fun!

I loved reading your blog today. It has been so much fun making new friends through the blog world. This is my fourth month to have a blog. I am amazed at all the unique and fun sites. I am posting about our recent Disney trip and have a couple more posts about our visit with the "Mouse" ....then I will have more than a few posts about a new "grandson" arriving in just a couple of weeks...

Blimey! No wonder your sewing machine broke down, you've been producing so much! It all looks fantastic, those brooches are very delicious looking, and I love the way you present them, all part of the buying experience, the very nice buying experience!
Love Vanessa xxx (do you mind if i knit)

All your crafts look so beautiful. I am constantly amazed at the sheer creativity of some of the people in the blogging community, the flair and artistry, the industriousness too! You all inspire me to be less dilatory, pull my proverbial out and get on with doing those things I want to do, learning those new skills as well. Love puppy, and will be interested to know when the shop is up and running, as I don't get into Wells often... next time will be December!!
