PInk Thrift

Isn't it funny how sometimes the things you find in all different places somehow just go together? I've had a bit of a pink week this week. Luscious Lustre, a big favourite! For these two pieces I had change from 50p!
More utility wares, and do you spy that little pin cushion lady?
She was hidden in a bag of plastic nonsense for just 10p....
On another trip out with Mrs Bobobun she bought this luscious tureen...
and kindly allowed me to snap the backstamp which I shall be adding to the collection. Haven't seen this one before - do you think it is Johnson Bros and very similar to Rose Dawn?
Managed to find some scare vintage pinnies this week too and a scrummy Sweet Pea tablecloth reminiscent of summer...
Another very big excitement - my commission for BBC Homes and Antiques magazine was published in their current December issue! This was such fun to work on..
I had to think of a name and so made the stocking with my lovely god-daughter in mind....
Their next issue brings big excitement too! But you'll have to wait and see what that is! Hope you're all off to a good start with the week. t.xx

Lovely rose dawn! But have never seen rose ballerina. the backstamp looks just like the crown on johnson bros. I still prefer the dawns though (she says, feverishly trying to insure herself against succumbing to a bit of rose ballerina when she sees it) Congratulations on the H&A feature; saw it the other day; now I'll have to get a look at their next issue too!

I am a fan of lustre ware, and cannot believe what treasures you found. Well done!

This post was full of wonderful words and pictures. I am going to keep an eye out for that magazine. It will be at least a month before it will appear on some specialized newstands over here. It will be a treat to see the article. Best wishes for more of the same in months and years to come.

Hi T!
Well done my friend on the magazine article...Can’t wait for next month’s edition too! The stocking looks wonderful. No wonder you were working hard to have it finished in time for the shoot...

As usual, very jealous of all your finds...AND the prices!! Don't come 'thrifting' in the SW...You would be shocked!! (I have the same stripy jug, but in pale yellow...use it everyday for milk)

Good luck with your preparations for the fair next month - will hopefully email you after the V&H Fair,

Before I saw the question regarding the tureen I thought - oh it's exactly the same shape as my Johnson's Bros tureen. So I vote that it is!
