Turning the tables

Didn't I promise you gratuitous cupcakes? Well how am I doing so far? Mmmmm. Yes they were just that yummy! Now, what's been going on here? Well the bedside table got dressed.....
...the coffee table got colourful.....
...the dining table put on it's finery....
the kitschen table was treated to more pink tulips and hyacinths....the party glass and cutlery came out to play....and for the first time in a while some cakes were baked! And my oh my I did enjoy that!...the beautiful boy even tidied his nature table!
AhHA! You guessed? Another photoshoot! I know we had one a few weeks ago but this week we had the delightful and eccentric Tony Hall who is the writer and photographer for the homes features in EDP Norfolk Magazine. Tony was a pleasure to work with and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. We'll be featured in the May issue which comes out on April 25th...
Now, about those cakes.....
Plain buns with cream cheese frosting from the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook....
I thought about colouring the icing but it was so perfectly and beautifully milky cream.....
and at the end of the day I had certainly earned this!
I wish you could share a cuppa and cake with me too. Wouldn't that be nice? Lets just imagine! Have a lovely weekend all. t.xxx

It's a bit of a relief to know you didn't got to all that effort just to make cupcakes! I was feeling daunted... Glad that there was another reason for the beauty - and it really does look beautiful. That article is going to be great.
I just thought your house was picture perfect all the time!

Lovely as always,

Lisa

My God you have a beautiful house! I am in awe. I love how you decorate and the colors just draw me in. Those cakes make me want to jump into the computer...lovely and sinful looking...can you tell I am dieting...arrrg...hate it. I came here and ended up getting lost...love it!
Everything looks so ready for Spring! I have to do that this week. I'm going to put out my Easter stuff, I think. Early, but I want to enjoy it. Where did you get your cute little flower cupcake toppers?

I could just eat one of those cakes...your magazine is in the post my friend....that lady never turned up for our photo shoot it looks great fun. I have always wanted to do one...although not the cleaning up before hand....
My first thought was how white the icing was.......... glad you explained it. I am seeing the book mentioned on quite a few blogs.

Loving the Boy's nature drawings...... he has a talent by the looks of him. Also love his table, I felt compelled to click on the image to get a close look. May he never lose his love of nature. :O)

Your home is so, so pretty. Great job of making it so cozy. That's something that can only be created from the dynamics inside, not staged.
