The bunting is up....
the tree was decorated on Good Friday....
some new decorations this year....
and all the old favourites....
some violets growing at the base.....
and is it just me or do these little bog-eyed chicks multiply in the intervening months? I'm sure there were not so many when we packed away last year!!
the Easter Marzipan Teabread was baked and glazed with homemade marmalade...
Buns were meticulously decorated just so.....
Eggy perfection! (And a few with white maltesers for a boy who doesn't like brown chocolate.. no really! He doesn't! )
Of course the mixing bowl had to be thoroughly licked! (yes that child is sitting on the kitschen table, disgraceful manners I know... I blame the parents! No control in some households!)
We enjoyed a bumper egg hunt up and down the garden...
Then back into the warm kitschen for a hot cup of tea and those yummy cupcakes!
...all over and not many left now....
so a few pictures before we ate them all up.....
