We love Easter here in the Kitschen household. Bunnies, Egg hunts, Chicks and Nests, oh the excitement!
A batch of big bunnies has been delivered to the seaside, and I saved a couple for my Etsy shop, although the beautiful boy is keen to keep this one to molly-coddle his mini bunny!
My favourite is the pink Candlewick one. Am I the only one whose candlewick bedspread was always 'bald' because I couldn't resist pulling out all those little threads! Happily this vintage candlewick bedspread had a more caring owner!
The beautiful boy finished school last Friday for the long holiday. It has been bliss having him home and letting him rest and recuperate. He is still quite a poorly boy and sadly the medicines in the kitschen seem to be multiplying once again. But we had a lovely time putting up this years Easter tree, sorting through favourite ornaments, carefully unpacking fragile glass eggs. More of that next week!
And we've made a few recuperative trips out to favourite teashops....
we're working very hard at that!
And getting ready for Easter. Oh the glue, the fabric, the mess!
I never cease to marvel that a little boy who hates chocolate can get so excited about an event which revolves around eating so much of it. Of course I have to do that for him.... no really, I do!!
A slight distraction has been Sew Hip issue 7 which came out this week. A few of you have already noticed my little feature. All very exciting. Not many stores stock the magazine up here and I think my friends and mumsie have been out buying every one they could find!
The magazine did a lovely job with my photos and I was tickled pink to see it covers so many pages!
Unfortunately the eagle eyed have also noticed that they misspelled my name. I am often asked if it is my real name. It was my maiden name. At times like this I remember how glad I was to be shot of it when I married! It really is a bit tricksy!
And it doesn't rhyme, although I quite like it when people say it that way - teenA vallerinA.
I hope you're all enjoying the hols. More Easter bits and bobs coming soon, and maybe some thrifting... just a little!
