Sneak Peak

Our new Home Sweet Home! Lived in by four generations of the same family, the main parts built in 1850 with additions in the 1950's and 1960's it is completely unspoilt and I am in LoVE! It is such a happy house!
It seems that we have moved to a mobile phone dead patch and, slightly more problematic, a Broadband blackhole - despite being told that access would not be a problem by the dreaded BT helpline! So I shall be Cafe Wifi-ing for a while yet! And very civilised it is too! Thus far I particularly recommend The Bicycle Shop in Norwich but I shall let you know if I discover more lovely places each time I post!
I have spent three days ripping out carpets to reveal beautiful dark old floorboards and colourful linoleum, peeling off vinyl wallpaper to discover gently faded block printed papers beneath and generally having a lovely time with the beautiful boy getting used to our garden, all the sheds, and discovering great cycle rides in our new area!
The builders arrive next week so chaos will reign but in the meantime we have a constant flow of visitors welcoming us to our new village, the children play out on the street so the beautiful boy is already making new friends and ... best of all.... something really, really exciting for me... Mr Parravani comes around with his ice-cream van and stops right outside our door! Wahey!
I shall be back again soon with pictures of holes in walls, woodworm in the roof and nasty, nasty damp patches! At least until the builders make them all go away!  Thank-you for all your lovely messages. It is such fun to have you all along for the ride! t.xx

Good luck in your new Home. I bet the house has lots of history. You'll have to check the walls for information. Whenever we move into a new house and strip the wallpaper we always sign and date it. We used to measure the children too so when the wallpaper gets changed we measure again no matter their age!
Oooh Ice cream nearly every day too!

What a lovely new home...sounds perfect :) That kitchen is amazing :)
I found a house once that hadn't been touched for 50 years, I was told it would have to be gutted but I would've moved in there & then!!!
I put in a offer but was beaten by someone who has now turned it into 4 flats all with Ikea kitchens... yuk! The good news was they couldn't sell them...hehehe!!
Wishing you every happiness in your new home! Wow it is beautiful :)

Looks fantastic but technology black holes is one of the quirks of living in Norfolk, for us it's no TV signal, we have to have Sky.
Have fun with the builders.
